"Burn and I've Seen Rain" Lyrics

"Just yesterday forenoon, they permit me know you were gone.
Susanne, the plans they fabricated put an end to yous.
I walked out this morning, and I wrote downwards this song,
I just can't remember who to transport it to.

I've seen burn and I've seen rain;
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end;
I've seen alone times when I could non observe a friend,
But I ever thought that I'd see you again.

Won't y'all look downwardly upon me, Jesus;
You've got to help me make a stand,;
Yous've just got to run into me through another solar day.
My trunk's agonized and my time is at hand,
And I won't brand it any other way.

Oh, I've seen burn, and I've seen rain;
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end;
I've seen lonely times when I could non find a friend,
Simply I always thought that I'd come across y'all again.

Been walking my mind to an easy fourth dimension, my back turned towards the dominicus;
Lord knows, when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head effectually.
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk well-nigh things to come;
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.

Oh, I've seen fire and I've seen rain;
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end;
I've seen lonely times when I could non find a friend,
But I ever thought that I'd see you, babe, one more fourth dimension over again, now.

Thought I'd see you one more time once again;
In that location's simply a few things coming my way this time around, at present;
Thought I'd see you, idea I'd run across you fire and pelting, now."

Winsome from Southern California by manner of Texas on June 02, 2012:

Howdy A_M, thanks for that explanation. I had no thought he wrote the verses so far autonomously. I just finished a song I started many years ago, so I practise empathize how that happens. I read one time that when he heard people say that his songs all sounded the same that he was surprised. He said he works to vary his songs and construction of the music but that he only has a narrow lens they all come up out of and so it simply sounds similar that.

I hold with him, his songs are not equally easy to play as you might recollect if y'all actually play them as he does. That's a bit of genius there. =:)
